Joint Press Release with the Townships of Uxbridge & Scugog (May 7, 2019)

When NASUS was founded, our vision was simple ‘to build a facility that will meet the needs of our communities for the next 50 years or more’. That vision remains the same today.NASUS remains committed to building a durable, functional and adaptable shelter which will serve the needs of all of our citizens.Last week we had a very productive meeting with the Mayors of both Uxbridge and Scugog and other Township representatives. We share in the frustration felt over the delays to this project. However, we are gratified that the Townships are focused on fulfilling this promise to the townspeople of Uxbridge and Scugog, donors and sponsors of this project and the animals of our region. We look forward to working closely with the Townships to build a new shelter for Uxbridge & Scugog that we can be proud to call our own.Thank you to all our volunteers, donors & sponsors and municipal partners for your support, commitment and patience. 💙🐾

Signed:

Tara Rosen, President

Amy Stevenson, Vice President
