VOS logoOnce again, Terry and Christine Vos have stepped up to support our project! We are thrilled to have Vos’ Your Independent Grocer as the Dinner Sponsor for the In The Ruff Golf Tournament on June 25th at Oakridge Golf Club. Vos’ has been a long-time supporter of community groups in Scugog, and they have generously supported many of our fundraising activities over the years including our annual Gimme Shelter Gala and recent walk-a-thons. They also host our fundraising committee meetings in their community room. Vos’ is located at 1893 Scugog Street, just west of the Causeway. Please support this generous local business and remember to thank them for helping us help more animals in North Durham.

Thank You Port Perry Canadian Tire!

We are proud  to have Canadian Tire in Port Perry as our Title Sponsor for this year’s In The Ruff Golf  Tournament. Terry Leitch and her staff have been involved with this event since the beginning, and we are thrilled to have their support again this year.

The 3rd Annual In The Ruff Tournament is on June 25th at Oakridge Golf Club in Port Perry. The shotgun start goes at 2pm, followed by a yummy dinner with plenty of prizes and draws. This is a social tournament for golfers of all abilities. The registration is just $125 per golfer and that includes 18 holes of great golf, a power cart, golfer gift bag, dinner, and tiem on the driving range. We also have longest drive, closest to the pin and putting contests with great prizes.

Registration opens soon and if you don’t have a foursome, we’ll be pleased to match you up with a great group.

Big thanks to our friends at Canadian Tire!!!

A Super Psyched Golf Volunteer

This is how much fun our volunteers have…

We’re looking for more volunteers to join our incredible Fundraising Committee. No experience necessary, just a sense of humour and an interest in helping animals.  Our committee members tackle a variety of tasks including:

  • Organizing events such as our gala dinner, walkathon and golf tournament
  • Working with local businesses on sponsorships and donations
  • Coming up with new fundraising ideas
  • Working with community groups raising funds for the New Animal Shelter
  • Thanking our generous donors
  • Researching funding resources
  • And much more

Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 7pm, alternating between Port Perry and Uxbridge. Why not check out an upcoming meeting too see if it’s a fit? For more information, please email fundraising@animal-shelter.ca.
